Disorder, Disarray, and Dysentery
The failures of a government claiming to be for the people.
The Labor Party, just like a Labubu is subsiding in relevancy within the polls. With long standing areas looking for a brighter more human future.
But what is this future these areas are looking for. The lies and depict of deluded deform ltd, oh sorry I meant ‘Reform’ you know the new brand for washed up Tories and people who would be in prison in Germany for being Nazis. Or do we let in a new generation of politicians, not those groomed into a perfect plastic sheen by a large party or one that’s receiving a lot in dodgy back door deals.
What is the hope of the UK, a country so divided under partisan politics that it has allowed numerous prolific pedophiles off the hook till they died, but instead blames problems caused by the upper classes on those coming here for a better life.
How can the country I live in be so divided, with people acting as if the death penalty is a good thing, opting to allow the cheetah to eat their face so the child who has an impoverished home life can’t get a basic meal at school. And let’s not start with how they have acted towards those that are disabled, successive governments cutting social funding to the bone and effectively saying to councils and disabled people “Why are you hitting yourself” stroking egos to start a so called culture war through the media.
“I look at the sun and I look at the mirror. Yeah I’m on the right track I’m on to a winner” is the modus operandi of our governance, comment sections designed to treat basic humanity as something that needs to be eviscerated from people, be a drone, BYPASS YOUR EMPATHY TODAY.
And you think I may be extreme in this, but ask you average right wing person about Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and you will hear a stream of bullshit about it, and how disabled people “Should and shouldn’t use it” then bring up Motorbility, you know the scheme disabled people pay to use and there will be another layer of entitlement. But this sudden up-tick in culture war tactics is curiously linked to Deform, but not only them but quite a few people on a certain list of people you should never let near anyone without a shotgun and especially no one who is under the age of 21.
But no, it’s easier to protect the top and teach the people who are disenfranchised and disenchanted with the system to punch down. Because if they shifted their weight slightly their cushy little middle class lifestyles would change. No more designer clothes, holidays in Goa to do Mandy while listening to experimental techno. So they get told hey look over there, they have more than you as we gave them it, note they never had more the only part here is aggression over resources to prevent abject poverty and destitution, you know the basic part of any developed nation and what the UN deems as a BASIC function of governance.
But no, of course they punch down. It’s easier, they can sleep at night bypassing their empathy in the culture war they are willingly following like loyal puppies. I don’t want to kink shame but the way they are swallowing the boot, how are they not wearing the leg through their intestines?
But hey they will blame modern Labour, a party of their making, now devoid of its history in the left under Keir Starmer. Now a party so bastardized that Keir Hardie would be spinning in his grave. But what happened to Labour to be appeasing the right wing and the hands of capital. And authoritarian in it’s lust for line go up, line must not go down. Line must not reflect society, Line must make the bankers harder and come all over their faces. It sounds revolutionary in some countries to say about the welfare system within the UK, especially to our comrades within the United States (that are currently undergoing a fascist moment and collapsing inwards while tanking the global economy but hey of course ‘reverse tariffs work’ because hey no one can fight back if they are too poor to afford bullets right?) We CAN be married and disabled without loosing our benefits, we get universal healthcare, cheap / free medication, mental health care, don’t have to pay for ambulances and get an out of work benefit that actually pays to survive rather than making you destitute and coerced into selling your blood. But this version of Labour is devoid of the working class praxis that the party was founded upon, instead it’s trying to develop praxis with authoritarian regimes that are committing war crimes under the Geneva conventions of war.
But what is this but the evisceration of the worker at the hand of capital. The selling out of the most vulnerable so you can be happy that the line is finally going up. For fucks sake just take a Viagra and you’ll see it go up a LOT faster.
But what is the Culture really, since 2012 we have had newspapers running defamatory pieces aimed square at disabled people, “Beat the cheat” claiming that people who are disabled are exploiting the working man. But lets go further in depth here, a newspaper owned by a billionaire who has shown repeated contempt for the working man and journalistic integrity. Just to say it here for all of you this was The Sun (Also known as The Scum, or the wank mag pretending to be a news outfit), The Look over there they are the problem whilst we convince you to commit seppuku for funzies.
The Culture created through those that hacked phones just to get another little bit of faux journalism to harass and control people, bully the families of dead people and so on, The same lineage as the news of the world, the same necrotic and moldy group psychosis. But we are beyond that right? Social media and all? Right? But really how often is your algorithm providing you with positive voices and the people affected, or is it just commentators who are shouting at the top of their lungs for clicks and then sending those that are part of the same culture against those that are more vulnerable. The things disabled people see online on the daily, people advocating for social murder all the way up to Aktion T4. Because they don’t believe that the cheetah will ever eat their face.
These platforms we had so much hope for, now the cesspits that everyone frequents. We come in for a daily fix of inspiration porn, or for our daily insult and to be publicly degraded or praised for how hollow we appear all in servitude of the platforms right? You know the abusive partner in the room with us, we can’t fight back against these people or we get strikes, but people can go around free to spread hateful content without a problem, but post anything anti-fascist and questioning capitalism and then you MUST fit within this little shadow box as we can’t show that as that’s hateful to our advertisers.
But it’s fine.
We are fine.
WE ARE FINE.
Oh wait… The UN in 2016 had to announce it was investigating a country for failing on the UN Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities in secret due to the risk of manipulation. With the reports findings showing that Welfare reforms including those linked to an increase in Suicides AND Anti-Depressant prescriptions alongside an inadequate mental health system and lack of physical accessibility to essential statutory services. I wish I could have ever been surprised that this was the UK that was being investigated, but seriously as someone who saw the horrors with my own eyes. A governments system for the most vulnerable shouldn’t be built with a level of structural violence that leads to excess deaths and the rate for Setraline and Fluoxetine prescriptions to rise so sharply that it was statistically significant. Let that sink in, the first line anti-depressants had such a rise that it was statistically significant to the amount of prescriptions that year ALONE.
But it’s been 10 years since that report things should have changed. They have changed right?
It’s 2026, the eve of Universal Credit’s health element becoming a two tier system. The government trying to restrict the already punitive system of PIP to an extent that a LARGE amount of disabled people wheeled on parliament. Because the narrative of us getting ‘Luxuries’ for ‘Free’ has now been taken from the incel nutjobs and now into governmental policy. It’s became the point where I can’t tell if the governmental policy comes from the people we voted in, The Sun, The Daily Mirror, The Daily Mail, TikTok or 4 Chan
Lets go over the ‘Luxuries’ afforded to people on PIP
- Vehicles via a CHARITY that people PAY FOR using their mobility component
- The ability to pay for specialist care and specialist goods like Mobility Aids
- Covering the extra cost for heating and / or cooling
- Paying for sensory needs
- Alternative transport (Taxis or paying to upgrade to First Class for sensory reasons or the pure fact to be able to sit down)
Like these may seem like extras that are luxuries but to others they are lifelines, Multiple things that are now standard within the every day where made more popular by disabled people within their communities, adaptations to be able to engage with a system that’s never wanted us in the first place.
But this may be the rambling of someone who will cause those on the fence to fall to the other side, but this is also the rambling of someone who has the scars from these systems and is within the fist group to be targeted. I’m tired of being the first one to be targeted by the systems of oppression. At 23 I have seen 5 governments with the same rhetoric towards neurodiversity, all hating us in their own ways. Dehumanizing us, and over medicating us, they have treated us like the beast in the closet. And to be honest with you I don’t have much hope left. I do have hope that we may see a government that eventually cares about the disabled. I can see the tides turning but the water is murky, And considering how we have seen promises turning into hit lists. I wish I could have more hope, and maybe, just maybe hope may become normal again.
